Most owners don't find out what they owe until the year has closed, and by then there isn't much left to do about it. That's when tax starts to feel like something being done to you.
We build projections off your current numbers so you can see where your income and your liability are heading. The IRS treats estimated tax as four payment periods across the year rather than one event, which is exactly why the planning should be spread across the year too. You get to set money aside deliberately, adjust as things change, and stop being caught off guard.
We look at how your business is structured, at timing, at how you pay yourself, and at whether a retirement plan is worth looking at for your situation. If you run an S corporation, how much of what you take is reasonable compensation for the work you actually do is a real question with a real answer, and getting it wrong is expensive in both directions.
